Position: Principal & 5th-8th Grade Teacher
Jessica Moon has always had a love for working with children, and from an early age, felt God calling her to teach. She completed her formal education in Canada, and later moved to the U.S. where she homeschooled her 3 daughters for 17 years. During this time, she actively ministered to children at her church through various programs, and has been the speaker for various Week of Prayer series, and children’s evangelistic meetings. Mrs. Moon felt God leading her back to the classroom, and transitioned from homeschooler to teacher and principal. She believes that Christian education should nurture spiritual growth in students, help them strive for academic excellence, and instill in their hearts a zeal for mission. Mrs. Moon, her pastor husband and 3 daughters enjoy making music together and praising the Lord with their musical talents.
Favorite Bible Text: Psalm 91. God’s unconditional love and grace continually cover us through His steadfast promises. We are only to claim them!
Position: Pre-K & Kindergarten Teacher
Dina Parker has over 30 years of Pre-Kindergarten experience. This experience includes her work as a teacher, classroom aid, classroom coordinator, playground supervisor, as well as other roles which make her an important part of our early childhood program. Part of Mrs. Parker’s education career included her time in Nicaragua. There she was a teacher, as well as the home and school coordinator who planned social events, which she continues to do for DFCS! Mrs. Parker has a hands-on approach to learning, which helps to prepare students for the years to come.

Position: 1st & 2nd Grade Teacher
Tammy Charles is originally from Hampton, VA. Ms. Charles was born into the Adventist Church and is a product of Adventist Education. She has taught for 29 years in grades Kindergarten - 8th grade. Giving her students a solid academic education is her most important goal, as it helps students to develop a healthy self-esteem and guides them to cultivate that very important relationship with Jesus. As a teacher, Ms. Charles feels privileged, yet humbled, to play such a significant role in the lives of her students in which God has entrusted to her.
Favorite Bible Verse: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 This text is a daily prayer for me for it reminds me that it is only through God that I can live my life as He desires.
Position: 3rd & 4th Grade Teacher
Stephen Horvath is originally from Clarksburg Md, he got his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education From Washington Adventist University. A lifelong Adventist, and naturalist Mr. Horvath enjoys helping others whether it is at school, or on the other side of the world. Mr. Horvath believes that because God is the creator of all things education is really learning about our creator through his creation whether it be science, math, and he works to instill in students a love of their creator, and a respect for his creation. As a teacher Mr. Horvath hopes to create a lifelong love of learning and love of our savior and serving others.
Mr. Horvath's favorite verse is Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
